This is a ‘self-portrait’ of sorts, intended to depict something of what it’s like to live with diabetes. Your whole life is so shaped and dominated by numbers, levels and data, that it often feels like you’re only ‘half here’.
While pink can signify warmth, innocence, and fun, I am using it here to represent the constant overlay of blood-sugar concern that occupies the mind and colours almost every aspect of life. While green can represent healing, growth, and nature, it also signifies sickness…
